In the spring of 1913, in the Balkan Wars, a group of desperate Bulgarian soldiers takes to transporting a boat overland, turning it into a torpedo of a kind to sink a Turkish battleship. Along the way, the Bulgarians run into Turkish soldiers, who gradually become their allies.
