Stephen, a playwright in eclipse, crosses the breathtaking wilderness of Bulgaria’s mountains, hoping to rekindle his inspiration. He bumps into a young Gipsy on the very brink of womanhood. Their accidental encounter grows into an affectionate platonic relationship, causing much pain to Stephen’s devoted wife, actress Lydia.

NIKOLAY VOLEV is a writer, director and producer. His film, Margarit and Margarita was selected for the 1990 Cannes Film Festival. All for Love has won the Special Jury Prize at Karlovy Vary Film Festival, 1986; The Goat Horn (1994) received four international awards, and his documentary Home No. 8 won 12 international film awards.
